Software Development Engineer(2) – Lead – Kirkland, WA, USA
We are looking for a Software Development Lead who will be responsible for managing, growing, and leading a strong development team. The position demands strong analytical and disciplined engineering skills, as well as organizational dexterity. There are many cross team dependencies, so excellent collaboration skills are important. A good understanding of game production, industry standard frameworks and game engine development is a must.
Candidate Responsibilities:
• Recruit, retain and manage team of developers
• Drive the design, coding and shipping of major user experience features
• Ensure our products ship fast with high quality
• Working with other leads to coordinate cross team scenarios
• Design thought-leading user interfaces
• Maintain communications across geographically distributed teams
• Coordinate work with other disciplines: PM/Dev/Test
Candidate Requirements:
• Experience with the following technologies: C/ C++, C#
• Minimum of 5 years software development experience having shipped products with experience in all stages of a release cycle
• Proven ability to lead a high performing team
• Experience with agile development environment
• Experience with Console development using Unreal Engine 3 would be a huge plus.
• Experience with development in large, high-volume services
• Ability to ramp-up quickly on complex and unfamiliar code
• Collaborate well with other people and teams to deliver end to end experience
• BS or MS in computer science or related discipline is preferred
