SENIOR XBOX 360 PROGRAMMER (Engine and Graphics) – Orlando, FL, USA
DescriptionLooking for a Senior Xbox 360 programmer to join the team in the US to work on an exciting multi-platform racing game and bring the studio’s proprietary engine to the next level.
The Senior Xbox360 Programmer will work closely with our game team, Technical Director and Lead Game Programmer to bring our latest game to the Xbox 360 platform while maturing our proprietary technology to full TCR compliance.
As a senior member of the programming team you will assist the Technical Director, Lead Game Programmer and Producer in creating schedules, identifying risks and priorities while taking full ownership of TCR sub-systems and the Xbox 360 specific build process. As a Senior Programmer you are also expected to apply up-to-date yet relevant programming methodologies, produce exemplary work and mentor less experienced programmers.
Requirements• BS in Computer Science or other suitable degree preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional video games programming experience.
• Must have the right to live and work in the USA.
• Credited on at least 2 published video games in a (Senior) Programmer role.
• Experience with engine development on Xbox 360.
• Experience through a full TCR submission of at least one Xbox 360 game.
• Profound knowledge of the Microsoft Xbox 360 XDK.
• High level of proficiency with C++, STL and OOP.
• Understanding of rendering and shader techniques, threading / multi-core architecture and file I/O, audio and controller systems.
• Exceptional communication and team working skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage your own tasks and priorities.
Desirable Skills• Experience with Nintendo platforms.
• A deep interest in games in general and racing games in particular.
• Good optimization skills in general and on the Xbox 360 in particular.
Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate they meet the above requirements ahead of the interview stage.
