Senior Scripter – Madison, WI, USA

The Scripter is a mid level position in the industry. This person must possess 2-5 years work experience though not necessarily all in the game industry. The Scripter’s job is to edit and create believable and industry-leading game-play scenarios and missions using proprietary scripting tools, within the bounds of the game components and elements provided by other departments.

The Scripter will be required to regularly work directly with AI programmers, Level Designers, and Artists to develop missions, select goals, choose enemies and enemy behaviors, ensure believable experiences and create “WOW” moments, and review/correct them to ensure consistently high quality.

Under the direction of the Lead Level Designer and Project Lead, the Scripter will be responsible for generating, testing and refining scripts using proprietary scripting tools, and identifying tools that will enhance the quality or improve the quantity of missions and scenarios created.

The production work of the Scripter is routinely evaluated by the Project Lead to ensure proper implementation and quality, and that it cohesively supports the expectations of the overall game design.

The Scripter will not have any personnel supervision responsibilities.
