Do you charge a fee for finding me a job?

No. We do not charge candidates for our services. We will provide career consultation, advice on your resume, recommend you to our clients, and help with the interview process and salary negotiations all for free to you. We do charge a fee to our clients upon successful fulfillment of a minimum period of employment with them if you choose to accept a position with them, however you are not obligated to accept any position we may represent to you, and we remain in the midst, representing both parties fairly to each other.

Does working with you mean that I will get a lesser salary offer from the company?

Absolutely not! Whilst companies would pay a fee for hiring you through us, this will come from a separate budget and their evaluation of a suitable salary for you will be completely separate from this. In fact, there have been many occasions where people do not realize their full market worth and we have been able to help negotiate a much higher salary than they were initially looking for.

What is the typical recruitment process?

Once you have sent us your contact details we will call for you a personal discussion about your career goals. Depending on your interests and time scales we will then present a range of suitable options for you to approve before sending your details out to any companies. We will normally receive a quick response requesting a telephone interview with you from the companies we put you forward to and then if both of you like each other there may be 2 or 3 telephone interviews before a final facing interview. If it would be necessary for you to fly to attend a facing interview then it would be usual for the company to pay for your travel and accommodation. Throughout the process we will provide you with feedback from the client. At the end of the process we can ensure a swift decision from the client and make sure that, if they like you, they will propose a suitable package that you will be excited to accept.

How confidential is the process?

We operate with the utmost confidentiality. Most of the candidates we work with are currently in employment and their employers do not know that they are considering other options. We will keep your details highly confidential and when you give us permission to recommend you to any of our clients then we will submit your details to the senior HR and senior hiring managers directly.

Where are you located and can I meet you?

We are located in Los Angeles, USA and Bangalore, India. Whilst most of the people we work with are located around the globe and we only get to meet at conferences or on site after they have started their new positions, we love to meet up with candidates and would welcome the chance to meet with you. Within the USA we have clients in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Austin, Boston, Charlotte and more. Within Canada we have clients in Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, amongst other cities. Within Europe we have clients in the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, and Spain. And we have clients in new expanding markets such as India, China and Australia. What experience do I need to apply?

We only work with people with a minimum of 2 years of video game experience. Our clients simply don’t require our services for their junior level positions. If you are new to the industry or still very early on then we recommend applying directly to companies. If you have more than 2 years experience then we would love to work with you and exceed your expectations!

What if I am not looking for a new job right now but would like to consider long term options?

Many of the people we work with are happy where they are but would like to hear about exceptional opportunities as and when they come up. Many other people want to get an early start looking out for positions for the end of their current project. We are very interested in building long term relationships with people even if they aren’t looking for a new position for a year or more. Please get in touch.

Why should I use you instead of applying directly to companies?

Great question! We thrive on providing you with a better service than you could get on your own. Besides the convenience of having someone you can talk with who can give you the low down on a whole range of opportunities and take care of all of the leg work of sending out your details and following up to get feedback and arranging the interviews for you, here’s all the unique reasons that you may choose to use us instead of applying directly.

We know about many positions that aren’t published on any company websites or job boards because they are brand new or because the hiring managers are only working with us.

We are able to directly recommend you to the senior hiring staff at leading companies that are very difficult to access. Quite often highly suitable candidates find that their resumes get lost in large inboxes of junior HR staff who may not fully recognize or appreciate their skills. If we consider you suitable, we will personally recommend you directly to the hiring managers with whom we have long standing relationships, ensuring fast and detailed feedback and giving you a very high chance of an interview request.

We can provide you with detailed feedback from the company throughout the interview process. If the interviews go well we can let you know exactly what the managers liked and what steps are left in the process. And even in the event that you might get turned down then we make sure we can provide you with the reasons why so that we can work together on finding more suitable positions for you in the future.
