JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead localization teams to deliver expected results on time, with intended scope and quality, and on budget.
- Manage localization vendors and partners to tight deadlines & quality.
- Perform analysis of current state processes, lead teams to identify & implement process change to accommodate localization across all impacted internal & external teams.
- Create process & business flow documentation.
- Coordinate effective communication across all project resources.
- Own, maintain and publish high quality & appropriate project documentation.
- Proactively identify potential problems and implement creative solutions to eliminate roadblocks or other project delays and drive issues to resolution.
- Deliver timely and accurate reports concerning project status to executives.
- Coordinate with other project managers to eliminate resource conflicts.
- Implement on-going measurement systems to ensure process gains are sustained.
- Matrix-manage all necessary resources and staff for the project.
- Other relevant duties as assigned by the manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree in Management, Engineering, or Science preferred.
- 3-5 years of localization management experience with successful completion of at least 20 successful projects.
- Experience managing multiple external partnerships across time zones.
- Experience in matrix management.
- Effective communication skills with a variety of personalities and staff roles (developers, community, marketing, execs, etc.).
- Ability to identify creative solutions for complex issues.
- Ability to quickly adapt to business demands.
- Superb organization skills.
- Experience with localization management tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Visio and similar project tools.
- Expertise and hands-on experience with project management fundamentals.
